This work investigates the application of Grover's algorithm to ray tracing, a key method in computer graphics used to compute ray-object intersections. Classical ray tracing has a complexity of $O(N)$, where $N$ is the number of geometric primitives in the scene. By combining Grover's algorithm with quantum minimization techniques, this study reduces the complexity to $O(\sqrt{N})$, demonstrating significant efficiency improvements for large-scale geometric models. The methodology includes constructing quantum circuits for Grover's oracle and implementing the solution using the Qiskit framework. The approach is validated through a proof of concept, with detailed mathematical formulations guiding the design of the quantum operators and intersection computations. The publicly available source code ensures accessibility and supports further advancements in quantum computing and its integration into computer graphics.
