Vidya Academics Network: an integration tool for researchers at FCFRP

Introduction. Publicize research outputs and connect to each other is fundamental for scientist academic career. Thus, adoption of tools that can contribute for scientific communication and academic information from researchers seeking visibility is fundamental.
Objectives. Improve visibility to researchers of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto-USP (FCFRP-USP) and integrate all possible scientific relationships.
Methods. Vidya Academics group developed a Academics Network of the researchers of FCFRP-USP. After data collection from platforms as LATTES, FAPESP and ResearcherID, the attributes of each researcher (lines of research, collaborations) was analyzed using graph theory. Input and distribution of entities were carried out by Gephi software and Force-Atlas clustering algorithm.
Results. A network with nodes and edges was created. Entities were clustered by number of connections, which enables insights on researchers’ interactions (Fig. 1)
Conclusion. The network created could be a feasible approach to improve visibility and facilitate new collaborations among scientists.
