Internet of things (IoT) connects objects to the Internet and its most advanced apps refine data aquired for the user. The aim of this study was to perform a review about the interface of IoT and pharmacy. It was performed a review in some databases (Pubmed, Web of Science, Medline and Embase), containing the descriptors: “internet of things” and “pharmacy”. It was found 131 articles. The main goal was that in a digital era, IoT would be an innovative health tool, integrating patients’ data, providing information for health professionals. This technology is focused on reducing prescribing errors and drug interactions, using apps and other devices, also being able to perform logistic control more efficiently. One of the main challenges is the data privacy security of the patient as well as the reliability of the data provided.
