Curcumin, an active substance in Curcuma longa, has low bioavailability and has anti-angiogenic effect. Polymeric Lipid-core nanocapsules (NC) have the ability to carry and improve the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs and these may have different coatings. Thus, the study aimed to compare the anti-angiogenic effect of NC containing curcumin (NCcur) with different coatings and the free curcumin solution (SCL) in an alternative model. The anti-angiogenic effect was evaluated in the chorioallantoic membrane of fertilized eggs of Gallus domesticus, using the groups: NCcur Polysorbate 80, NCcur polyethylene glycol, NCcur Eudragit RS 100, NCcur chitosan, SCL, saline and NC without curcumin, where, with 9 eggs per group, 13µL (10mg / mL) of these were inoculated into the chorioallantoic membrane on the 7th day of incubation, waiting 48h for further quantification of the anti-angiogenic effect. The NCcur had significantly higher anti-angiogenic effect against the chorioallantoic membrane vascularization, varying between the different coatings.
