Abstract

Gamification, as an active methodology, has been consolidated as a relevant strategy for the teaching of Production Engineering, favoring student protagonism and the construction of practical and analytical skills. This study aimed to analyze, based on a systematic review, the impact of gamification on the teaching-learning process in this area. The PRISMA protocol was applied in the selection of articles in the CAPES Periodicals databases, considering publications between 2013 and 2023. The analysis of the results revealed that gamification increases student engagement and motivation, in addition to improving content retention and stimulating interpersonal skills. However, limitations were also identified, such as the scarcity of longitudinal studies and the lack of standardization in the application of gamified practices. It is concluded that gamification, when well planned, can be a catalyst for innovation in the teaching of Production Engineering.
