Abstract

This work aims to present the concept and opportunities of the PUDO (Pick-up & Drop-Off) logistics strategy as a competitive differential for E-commerce considering the challenges of the logistics network in Brazil, maintenance of healthy operations, sustainability concerns and the need to meet increasingly demanding consumers. The approach to the theme contributes to disseminate technical knowledge of logistics among production engineers, directors of operations and entrepreneurs in order to favor the improvement of the business units of which they are in charge and to present logistics as a tool for management and leverage. The case study is based on the review of articles and market theses demonstrating that companies opting for the PUDO strategy have been able to stand out in the market and understand more quickly the needs of the new retail and the desires of the modern consumer.
