If you've NEVER registered a DOI in your Lattes, check our tutorial! This study analyzes how innovative technological innovations implemented by the Piauí Land Institute (INTERPI) between 2020 and 2025 contributed to strengthening institutional transparency, in line with the national advances initiated with the Transparency Portal and the Access to Information Law (LAI). This is a qualitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional, applied study, conducted as a case study, based on a documentary analysis of reports, ordinances, and digital dashboards made available by the agency. The results show that, although INTERPI has increased the visibility of processes through digital platforms and geospatial dashboards, there are still limitations regarding data quality, consistency, and interoperability, in addition to access difficulties faced by users with low digital literacy. Gaps in data governance, a lack of reporting standardization, and a reliance on transactions via LAI were also identified, all of which limit transparency. Another challenge concerns digital inclusion, as rural populations, the main beneficiaries of land regularization, face connectivity and training barriers to use the platforms, which maintains the need for in-person services. Despite these obstacles, INTERPI's adoption of digital tools represents progress in promoting accountability and combating bureaucracy, but requires additional measures, such as the creation of open data catalogs, standardization of dashboards, formal information governance, and digital inclusion initiatives. The conclusion is that the integration of technology, data governance, and social policies is essential to consolidate more transparent, participatory, and democratic territorial management in Piauí.
