Abstract

Basic sanitation interventions require trenching and pavement recomposition, steps that can compromise the performance of the asphalt coating when performed without adequate technological control. This paper investigates the pathologies that occurred after the implementation of the sanitation system in the Real Copagri neighborhood, in Teresina-PI, identifying their frequency, severity and possible associated factors. This is a case study, of applied nature, qualitative approach with descriptive objective, based on systematized visual inspections, georeferencing and photographic record. The defects will be classified by typology (cracks, sinks, exudation, disintegration, holes, unevenness, patches). The analysis seeks to relate the occurrence of pathologies with variables such as time since recomposition, type of road, estimated traffic and restoration technique employed. It is expected to support recommendations of good practices for post-construction restoration and inspection, contributing to greater durability of the pavement and better allocation of public resources.
