Abstract

The accessibility of people with sensory disabilities in health services is a topic that still has many gaps. This work, produced as an integrative review, sought to understand the main existing practices in accessibility and the impasses to provide greater effectiveness of accessibility for this public, more specifically the hearing impaired and the visually impaired. The integrative research included eight research articles on accessibility practices in health services, searched in three databases (scielo, lilacs and pubmed), in the period between 2015 and 2025, in addition to the singularities and subjectivities that this target audience carries. The analysis of the data showed a reality that diverged from what is supported by the law, as these people do not have their right to health fully certified, since there are several barriers within this context. One of the barriers is professional training, which does not include training in accessibility.
