However, increasingly solid evidence demonstrates the multisystemic nature of COVID-19, including the most diverse neurological disorders that manifest in the form of syndromes (dementia, parkinsonian, epileptic, motor, amnesic, behavioral, among others). Thus, the main objective of the present study was to review the main works in the medical literature that describe the neurological manifestations related to COVID-19. It was noticed that these neuropathies can manifest both in the acute phase of the disease and chronically, presenting with mild symptoms such as “brain fog” or severe symptoms such as stroke. There was a high prevalence of reports of encephalopathies, strokes, acute encephalomyelitis, neurodegenerative disorders and peripheral neuropathies, which manifested themselves in the form of the most diverse neurological syndromes.
