Abstract

This article addresses the strategic cost management in product quality, focusing on cost reduction and the costs of non-quality. The research, based on the analysis of six selected articles from the SCIELO portal between 2015 and 2022, highlights the importance of balancing costs and quality in various sectors, including manufacturing and services. The reviewed studies emphasize the application of methodologies such as Six Sigma to optimize processes, reduce non-quality costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Effective cost management emerges as a crucial factor for competitiveness in a dynamic business landscape. The research underscores the ongoing need for innovative practices to improve cost and quality management and highlights the universality of this approach across various economic sectors.
