EXPERIENCES OF NUTRITION UNDERGRADUATES IN THE OPEN CHEST NUTRITION PROJECT: EXPERIENCE REPORT

Cancer has a chronic, silent nature and a high chance of mortality, being related to multiple factors, but the most important for development are lifestyle and dietary factors. Therefore, the study aims to report the experience of students from the university extension project “Nutrição de Peito Aberto”. It is extremely important, as it is an educational project that brings together teaching and research to transform the society in which the educational institution is located. This research is a descriptive study, of the type of experience, the result of the experiences lived by 12 students during the extension project, under the supervision of two teachers from the same institution. In view of this, it was noted that all stages of the project brought a lot of knowledge and more affection for the future profession, as the participants interacted and proposed to learn.
