Abstract

Renal dysfunctions can result in imbalances in the body's homeostasis, these changes can trigger the so-called nephropathy, such as Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Acute Renal Failure (ARF), which can be diagnosed through renal biomarkers. These renal biomarkers are instruments for detecting an accurate and early diagnosis, as it prevents the evolution of pathologies and worse costs for patients. It aims to know the renal dysfunctions and the main biomarkers with the intention of a previous diagnosis. This is a literature review focused on renal biomarkers, in which SBN, SciELO and PubMed were used. Furthermore, biological markers are substances that can be measured in blood, urine or other body fluids: Urea, Creatinine, Cystatin C, Albuminuria and Glomerular Filtration Rate. Therefore, the importance of implementing early diagnosis in relation to renal dysfunctions is evident, using renal biomarkers as a means to detect a diagnosis.
