Submission Guidelines

Important: The author responsible for presenting the abstract must be registered before October 15th.

ABOUT THE SUBMISSION:

1. The submission of up to 2 abstracts per registration is allowed

  • Please do not attempt to submit the same abstract more than once. If the system detects a duplicate submission, your abstract will be rejected.

  • There is no maximum limit of authors per abstract.

2. At the time of submission, enter the data of all authors (full name, email, institution) into the SYSTEM and also in the PDF that will be attached according to the order of authorship.

3. Selection of preference for an oral or poster presentation.

  • Oral presentations: These go through a selection process; therefore, abstract approval does not guarantee its selection for an oral presentation. The committee will contact the authors to inform them about the abstracts selected for oral presentation. Those not selected for this modality will automatically be assigned as poster presentations.

  • Poster presentations: These go through the selection process, the result of which will be communicated by the committee.

4. Presentation Duration

  • Oral presentations will last 15 minutes, while poster presentations will last 1 hour, with the mandatory presence of at least one of the authors (any author can present as long as they are registered for the event).

  • Abstracts submitted in Spanish (oral and poster) can be presented in English.

5. Publication of Abstracts

  • Authors must indicate during registration if they wish their abstracts to be published in a Special Edition of a High-Impact International Scientific Journal (to be defined by the scientific committee).

  • The presented results must not have been previously published.

6. Results must be substantial. Authors should not divide the results of a study into multiple abstracts with minimal information.

7. Literature reviews will not be accepted.

8. The abstract must include quantitative data. Abstracts that only indicate that results will be discussed later will not be accepted.

9. Abstracts for Oral and Poster presentations must address one of the topics from the tracks

10. Abstract Template Format Requirements

  • The abstract must be submitted in Spanish or English.

  • It must include Title, Authors (listed in order of authorship), Institution, Scientific Text, and, if necessary, Funding Agency.

  • 300-word limit for the scientific text.

  • Tables and figures must not be included.

  • The abstract must contain an introduction, objective, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.

  • Do not include references unless strictly necessary.

11. Abstract Review

  • Abstracts will be sent to the Scientific Committee for review and evaluation.

  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject or determine the final presentation format.

  • Every effort will be made to respect the indicated presentation format, but due to the limited number of sessions, organizers may change oral presentations to poster presentations.

  • Each presentation will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • Scientific merit

  • Relevance

  • Creativity and originality

  • Practical application

  • Abstracts and presentations must not be commercial in nature. Authors should avoid excessive use of commercial product or company names, except in presentations for the Special Exhibitor Sessions.

12. Copyrights

By submitting your abstract for presentation at the event, you authorize the IV Latin American Congress of Sensory and Consumer Sciences SENSELATAM 2026 and the company Galoá to publish your work, granting free and definitively the copyrights and the right to use your image in photos.You declare that the presented work is authored by you and assume full responsibility for its content.You also authorize its publication in any existing medium and format, including the event's website on the Internet, as well as its reproduction in other event publications, communication to the public, editing, re-editing, adaptation, and distribution.
