Resumo

The necessity of reducing the use of fossil fuels has intensified the search for new energy sources. Hydrogen has emerged as an alternative green source for combustion due to be easily obtained and its non-release of carbon oxides. However, the interaction between hydrogen and air produces a turbulent field that induces a wrinkling in the flame surface, increasing the reaction rate in this combustion. Additionally, depending on the mixing conditions of the reactants, different performances for flame propagation and flame structure can be noticed. Therefore, herein this work, we investigate premixed hydrogen-air combustions with different mixing conditions to evaluate their influence in the flame propagation.
