The transition to a carbon-neutral chemical industry requires the integration of renewable carbon feedstocks into existing industrial infrastructures. However, large-scale redesign of processes based on fossil-derived intermediates such as syngas remains technically and economically challenging. Consequently, drop-in renewable alternatives are highly attractive. Renewable methanol has emerged as a promising C1 platform molecule due to its increasing availability from biomass and CO2, favourable handling properties, and established role in chemical manufacturing. In this work, we present a continuous-flow methanol-to-syngas reforming strategy based on homogeneous Ru-MACHO-catalysts. Through the combination of reactor engineering and ligand-controlled catalyst design, the limitations of batch operation are overcome, enabling stable syngas production for more than 84h. Kinetic and selectivity studies provide further insight into the factors governing efficient syngas generation. This approach demonstrates the potential of renewable methanol as a practical feedstock for introducing sustainable carbon into existing chemical value chains and supporting the defossilisation of chemical manufacturing
