Abstract

Gadolinium(III) ions are generally considered magnetically isotropic, and therefore, slow magnetic relaxation is not expected for such ions. In this presentation, we will discuss the magnetic properties of selected examples of gadolinium(III) complexes that unexpectedly exhibit slow magnetic relaxation phenomena.
