Abstract

In this work, we report a dysprosium-based coordination polymer with the formula {n-Bu4N[Dy(H2edpba)2]}n (1) (H2edpba2- = N,N’-2,2′-ethylenediphenylenebis(oxamato)), which is thermally stable up to approximately 286 °C. The complex was characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD). Its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD). Furthermore, we carried out magnetic and thermoluminescence studies. The experimental cryomagnetic measurements are in good agreement with the theoretical calculations. Temperature-dependent luminescence measurements reveal a pronounced thermal maximum relative sensitivity of approximately 1% K⁻Å (310 K) and low temperature uncertainty (< 0.05 K).
