Abstract

Luminescent materials based on lanthanide ions have been increasingly explored due to their unique photophysical properties.However, their application as photocatalysts in organic synthesis remains relatively unexplored. In this context, this work aims to develop alternative photocatalysts based on Ln³⁺ complexes as substitutes for noble-metal ones. The photocatalysts ([Eu(nma)₃(L)₂]) were added in solution with different substrates, and then characterized by different analitical and spectroscopic techniques,confirming the formation of different species or its luminescence quenching.
