Ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complexes have attracted significant attention due to their remarkable photochemical and photophysical properties, making them promising candidates for applications in photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photoactivated chemotherapy (PACT)[1]. In this work, new Ru(II) complexes with the general formula [Ru(terpy)(N’N”)(THIQ)]2PF6, where N’N” = bipyridine or phenanthroline derivatives and THIQ = 5,6,7,8-tetrahydroisoquinoline were investigated. Initially, the complexes were characterized by NMR using 1D and 2D techniques and X-Ray diffraction analysis, revealing that the ligands are coordinated in molecular framework.
