Citral Has Antiobesogenic Activity Improving Adipose Tissue Endocrine Function of High-Fat Diet-Induced Obesity Mice

We aimed to evaluate if citral was capable of altering body weight gain and act on the endocrine function of adipose tissue (AT) in high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity C57BL/6J male mice. Citral reduced body weight gain and caloric ingestion, restored fasting glycemia and plasmatic leptin levels, and elevated plasmatic adiponectin levels of HFD-fed animals.
