Resumo

Fungi of the genus Trichoderma are natural antagonists of Fusarium and other phytopathogens. Using different co-cultivation strategies, it was observed that extracts produced by Trichoderma (F8) present promising fungicidal activity against the target microorganisms F. guttiforme (F1) and F. proliferatum (F7), indicating an inhibition of growth or expression of Fusarium metabolites. Further studies may lead to the development of new fungicides to be applied in agriculture as well as in medicine.
