Popularly known as molds, and among other pejorative denominations, organisms of the Fungi Kingdom are often taxed as pests and organisms harmful to the environment. The fungi classified in the phyla Blastocladiomycota and Chytridiomycota show as similarity spore production with a single smooth flag, later inserted, and basal positioning in the phylogenetic tree of the Fungi Kingdom (James et al., 2006a, Hibbett et al. Aquatic ecosystems have a great diversity of zoosporic fungi, which together with other detritivores are responsible for the degradation of submerged organic substrates. The reduced amount of literature on these organisms in Brazil shows the need for new researchers in this area. Therefore, the objective of this work was to survey the diversity of zoosporic fungi (Chytridiomycota and Blastocladiomycota) in an urban stream in Rondonópolis, Cerrado Mato Grosso. In order to obtain the zoospiritual fungi, three collections of water samples and mixed leaflets were carried out with replicates at 5 points distributed in the Arareau stream, in the period of 2017 and 2018. The processing of these samples occurred following the technique described in Milanez (1989). multiple baiting with cellulosic substrates (onion epidermis, cellophane and corn straw) and keratinous (snake ecdysis and hair strands). As a standardization effect the baits were cut in circles of 1cm in diameter and two pieces of bait selected per plate were added. After plating, the samples were placed in an environment with a temperature between 20º to 22ºC for about seven days. From the fifth day the samples began to be observed with the aid of optical microscopy for the visualization of the taxa. For the identification of aquatic fungi the following literatures were used Karling (1977) and Sparrow (1960). As a result, the following species were identified: Cladochytrium replicatum, Septosperma rhizophydium, Nowakowskiella hemisphaerospora, Entophlyctis confervae-glomeratae, Cladochytrium tenuous Nowakowski, Cladochytrium setigerum, Rhizophlyctis rosacea. At the genus level were identified the following, Rhizidium spp., Nowakowskiella spp., Rhizophydium spp., Entophlyctis spp., Rhizophlyctis spp. This research carried out for the first time the study of the diversity of zoosporic fungi in Cerrado Mato Grosso.
