Resumo

The aim of this study was to evaluate the chemical composition: fat, protein, casein, urea, lactose, defatted dry extract (DDE), total dry extract (TDE) and somatic cell count (SCC) of Santa Ines ewe's milk, supplemented with Biophytus®. It was accomplished in the Federal Institute of Goiás - Rio Verde Campus, on the laboratory of goat breeding and sheep farming where the milk was collected manually and sent to the laboratory of products of animal origin. Santa Inês ewe was divided into two groups (four animals each group) according to the average daily milk production: A treatment (with Biophytus) and B (without Biophytus). The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design and the results evaluated by means of the Student-Newman-Keuls test at 5% of probability in statistical package. The casein and lactose content of sheep's milk increase with the use of addictive, therefore, it can be an important tool for the production and subsequent manufacture of dairy products.
