Resumo

The usage of animals in farming areas is a concern of farmers, due to animal trampling, in integrated systems. The objective of this study was to analyze physical soil properties in different farming systems whether integrated or not. The experiment was organized in a randomized block with three replications and six treatments: Crop System (CS), Livestock System (LS) and four Crop Livestock Integrated Systems (CLI-1, CLI-2, CLI-3, CLI-4). There was a significant difference in the values of soil penetration resistance (PR) between the systems. The lowest PR value was observed in the crop system compared to systems that had animal trampling. For the other physical properties, macroporosity (Ma), microporosity (Mi), total porosity (Pt) and bulk density (BD), there was no significant difference between the systems. Although higher RP values were observed in grazing systems, there was no soil compaction. This fact occurred only in the superficial layer of the soil. Thus, the use of animals in crop system does not affect compaction of the soil.
