Métodos Eletroquímico Rápido para a Detecção de Escopolamina em Bebidas
Scopolamine(SCP) is an antimuscarinic agent commonly used as analgesic and a smooth muscle relaxant. It is also used as an antispasmodic agent with antinauseant effects, and is recommended for use in the treatment of motion sickness and in pre-surgery medication[1].In recent years, however, SCP has become a drug of common use for recreational and predatory purposes, such as robbery and sexual abuse, and severalways of administration have been devised[2]. The present work aims the fast detection of SCP in beverage samples usings quare-wave voltammetry(SWV) employinga BDD as work electrode. As shown in Fig. 1, the presence of SCP can be detected(+1.7V) in all studied beverages, even with the presence of electrochemical active compounds, such as caffeine (CAF).The proposed work has great potentialfor application in forensic area. Subsequent studies involve the quantification, validation andadaptation of the procedureto a portable electrochemical system.
