Electrochemical analysis of a sensor for hydrogenous peroxide based on thionin and graphene oxide
Electrodes modified with nanomaterials associated with polymerare of great interest to develop electrochemical sensors .Among the materials used, the graphene oxide(GO) linked to Polythionin (PTh) has been gaining prominence due to its physical and chemical properties. The detection of Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is an important tool in food and environmental monitoring, diagnosis, and biological studies (1).This study aims to develop an electrochemical platform to detect H2O2 using PTh/GO in Phosphate Buffer Solution (PBS). The platform was formed by electropolymerization using a solution composed by 1 mM thion in with 0,5 mg/mL of GOin PBS. It was applied Ciclic voltammogram (CV) by a window potencial from -0.2 to 1.4V, 50v/s scan rate and 10mV of step during 20 cycles. It was used 5mL ofPBS as an indicator for electrochemical characterization of the electrode surface before and after electropolymerization by PTh/GO. At the end of this study, some concentration of Hydrogen Peroxide were tested on the platform in order to establishits detection limit (figure 1).Thus, this platform developed can allow the detection of hydrogen peroxid equickly and reliably through CV.
