A Novel Amperometryc Sensor For Determination Of Homocysteine On Iron(Ii) – Xanthurenic Acid Complex/Mwcnt Modified Electrodes
A novel amperometryc sensor has been successfully developed for determination of homocysteine (hCys) with iron(II) – xanthurenic acid complex (FeXa2) / multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) / glassy carbon modified electrodes. Cyclic voltammetric results show that the modified electrode possess an excellent eletrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of hCys by reducing the overpotential (+0.15 V versus Ag/AgCl) and with considerable increase sensibility. The electron transference resistance of the modified electrode was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and the kinetic constant, kkin, for the electrocatalytic oxidation of hCys was evaluated by chronoamperometry.
