Chemical control is one of the main tools in integrated pest management. Glycaspis brimblecombei Moore (Hemiptera: Aphalaridae) causes significant losses in eucalyptus crops. Biological control, with the parasitoid Psyllaephagus bliteus Riek (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) and the chemicals acetamiprid, acetamiprid + bifenthrin and etofenprox, stand out in the management of this pest. The objective was to test active chemical ingredients with potential for the management of G. brimblecombei. The active chemical ingredients acetamiprid (50 and 100 g/ha), spinetoram (200 and 400 g/ha), etofenprox (300 and 600 ml/ha), sulfoxaflor (200 and 400 ml/ha) and sulfoxaflor + lambda-cyhalothrin (150 and 300 ml/ha), in addition to the control, were sprayed on eucalyptus saplings infested with G. brimblecombei in a greenhouse. The evaluations (number of leaves and lerps of G. brimblecombei) were carried out one day before and at two, four, six, eight and 10 days after application of the products, when the numbers of empty lerps and live or dead insects were counted. The mortality of G. brimblecombei was higher and the TL80 lower after two days of spraying with sulfoxaflor + lambda-cyhalothrin. Mortality of this insect was higher than 80% after six days of application of the acetamiprid, sulfoxaflor and sulfoxaflor + lambda-cyhalothrin and near 100% after 14 days. Acetamiprid, sulfoxaflor and sulfoxaflor + lambda-cyhalothrin have potential for the management of G. brimblecombei, especially sulfoxaflor + lambda-cyhalothrin.
