Remote Sensing imagery are used in several applications. CBERS-4 images were available recently, and there is a gap regarding to their positional accuracy evaluation. The main aim of this paper is to assess the positional accuracy of CBERS-4/PAN level 2 imagery, which presents the highest spatial resolution (GSD – Ground Sample Distance - of 5 meters). The analysis was conducted using checkpoints obtained from the georeferenced rural properties registered in INCRA (Instituto Nacional de Colonização e Reforma Agrária). Four images from two orbits were assessed. The results showed that the planimetric displacement of the analysed CBERS-4/PAN imagery was around 600 meters.
