Floods area dreadful phenomenon to society. The objective of this study is to analyze flood risk in the western region of Paraná’s state.The study used SRTM images and QGIS version 3.2 to divide the region in several small watersheds. For each small watershed, two morphometric values were calculated using R3.5.1, these values are capable of indicate flooding risk, when there is no other factors interfering. This data were divided by its quartiles and used to classify each area, according the risk. The results are represented by two thematic maps containing a visual analysis of the risk; besides that, statistical data regarding the distribution of morphometric values in studied region. The generated maps can be used to explain the occurrence of natural disasters and explicate the demand of interventions by the responsible organizations of natural hazard.
