The increase in non-English language podcasts in 2024 highlights the global expansion of the format (Data Reportal, 2025). Inserted in this context, this exploratory research analyzes the consumption of podcasts in Latin America, seeking to identify the profile of the most listened to programs. Based on an exploratory survey (Marconi; Lakatos, 2010) and in the first category of Audiostructural Analysis (Silva, 2022), there was a predominance of news content between January and May 2024. Brazilian podcasts stand out, with a preference for short episodes that are updated daily. In Colombia and Mexico, the listening dynamics have different characteristics. The results reinforce the importance of considering cultural and media factors in the production and consumption of the sound format in the Latin American context.
