This article discusses the methodological paths adopted in the analysis of police radio journalism broadcast by the program "Grande Jornal Falado Clube", of Rádio Clube Pontagrossense. The proposal is based on the application and adaptation of the Journalistic Coverage Analysis (ACJ) protocol, originally developed for print journalism by Silva and Maia (2011), but applied to the radio medium. Based on theoretical and methodological contributions from Zimmermann and Zuculoto (2021), a set of specific categories was developed to observe how police news is constructed on the station. The main objective is to reflect on the possibilities and challenges of structuring a methodology aimed at the analysis of the radio journalistic product, aiming at contributing with subsidies for future research on the subject.
