Abstract

In the evolving landscape of higher education, aligning accessibility, inclusivity, and digitalization with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 10, and 17 is crucial for equitable opportunities across global Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). It is important to understand which practices play important role in the process of enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in these Higher Education Institutions. In today’s highly competitive scenario, many institutions, are willing to learn and implement but do not have a clear understanding of the best practices accepted across the globe.  The countries like India and Nepal are emerging in the field of education while collaborating with various international universities and providing opportunities to students and faculty with an accessible, inclusive approach  and digital learning practices. This study examines best practices in teaching and learning within management institutes in India, Nepal, and Europe, focusing on enhancing education quality and equity through digital development, inclusive innovation, and outcome-oriented learning. Employing a mixed-method approach, data was collected in three phases from deans (n=26), faculty (n=54), and students (n=299) using open-ended questions. Qualitative analysis, conducted via Atlas.ti 25 with content and thematic analysis, identified key challenges: the digital divide, obsolete pedagogical methods, and inadequate teacher training for integrating innovative approaches into curricula. The research proposes establishing a Teaching and Learning Centre of Excellence to address these challenges and implement best practices. This strategic initiative emphasizes faculty capacity building in digital competency, equitable access to education, infrastructure development, global collaboration, and policy reforms to foster sustainable educational transformation. By integrating European best practices with Indian and Nepali institutional models, the study offers a conceptual framework to elevate educational standards globally. This holistic approach ensures stakeholder development, supports inclusive innovation, and aligns with global educational standards, paving the way for a transformative and equitable higher education ecosystem.
