Abstract

Introduction: With the goal of building through the dialogue, a body of pedagogical knowledge which recognizes the professional careers of retired teachers, teachers in classroom and students’ visions of the last year of high school education, developing the training and strengthening program of the teaching vocation “learning with the old school” at the Superior Normal School of Colombia. Objectives and methods. It has been defined as a space of dialogue a cycle of talks with six different thematic (the meaning of being teacher, classroom environment, educational leadership, interculturality inside the classroom, teacher faces the artificial intelligence, the didactics) which emerge from the categorization of questions that the students formulate to the retired and graduate teachers in classroom. It also applied to students a questionnaire prior to the talks with 5 questions about the meaning, the positive and negative elements that identify in the teaching process. In this way, the paper’s specific objective is to analyze the meaning of the practice teaching express by every generational group in the spaces of dialogue where a member to each case participates. The questionnaires and dialogues transcript results analysis, it is developed by the analysis of content (Krippendorf 2013) in the stages: a. pre-analysis: categories definition in advance. b. specific analysis: open coding and triangle code: three researches, categories definition. c. validation and analysis of relations with categories. The talks’ videos are analyzed from the theory of the discursive interactions. Results: the preliminary results reflect meeting points among the three generations in relation with an award of being teacher as social leader; a guide with responsibilities of care and social construct. The spaces of dialogue have promoted awareness building exercises about the teacher’s role, his/her importance as an individual citizen and professional.
