The canonization of Sister Dulce, held in 2019, mobilized organizations of different natures, which used the ways of doing and saying journalism to link their respective images to the event. The present work is part of the studies that seek to understand the appropriation of journalistic discursivity by other social fields and their respective implications. To this end, it proposes to locate the discursive strategies used in the titles of articles published on the official website of the news agency of the Municipality of Salvador (PMS), the city where Dulce was born and carried out her recognized charitable works. Based on the perspective of discursive analysis associated with textual investigation, the work identifies strategies used in 17 titles of articles published by PMS at the time. The study points to an enunciator who sought to present himself as active and engaged in the canonization process, aimed at the Catholic public and used journalistic strategies to legitimize the discourse.
