Abstract

In the present study, it was isolated and characterized four flavonoids from Ocotea nonata leaves: miquelianin (1), isoquercitrin (2), reynoutrin (3), guaijaverin (4), being the last one an unprecedented compound in plants of this genus. From the endophytic fungi Annulohypoxylon stygium it was isolated the felinone A, an azaphilone that still has a reduced number of studies. All compounds were evaluated against Staphylococcus epidermidis ATCC 12228 and S. aureus ATCC 33591.
