Abstract

• GC-MS analysis revealed a predominance of sesquiterpene compounds in the essential oil.
• LC50 obtained in the residual contact bioassay was 58.8 μL.mL-1.
• The oil did not show AChE enzyme inhibition activity or cytotoxicity against A. salina.
• Essential oil from the leaves of the plant can be used in the formulation of bioacaricides.
