Cytotoxicity activity of Rauia resinosa ethanolic extract and constituents

Abstract

This paper investigates ethanol extracts from Rauia resinosa Rutaceae leaves and stems. The extracts were analyzed for secondary metabolites using various techniques. They identified a new flavone, 5-hydroxy-5’,6,7-trimethoxy-3’,4’-methylenedioxyflavone, and four known compounds. Cytotoxicity tests on these extracts and compounds revealed promising antiproliferative activity against the tumoral cell lines tested.
