Abstract

Strains of Trichoderma spp. were isolated from different colonies of the stingless bees Melipona marginata, Melipona quadrifasciata, and Frieseomelitta varia. Chemical dereplication based on HPLC-HRMS/MS data analysis of metabolic extracts from the microorganisms demonstrated the major production of pyrone derivatives, which were also stimulated during the microbial interaction of these isolates with commercial entomopathogenic fungi.
