Abstract

This work demonstrates the nanoformulation attempts of poor water-soluble seriniquinone, a secondary metabolite of the marine bacteria Serinicoccus sp. Distinct nanosystems, recommended or described for other lipophilic drugs, were developed. Only poly (D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) nanoparticles were able to encapsulate seriniquinone and enable the first outlines of in vivo studies.
