Abstract

The objective of this study was to prospect a Streptomyces lineage isolated from sediments of the Madeira River against agricultural phytopathogens. The dDDH below 70% (55.2%) indicated MAD 42 as a new species. The annotation of substances showed the production of surfactins A, B, and C, and a plipastatin (fengycin C). And the antifungal analysis revealed inhibitory action against Neopestalotiopsis surinamensis (MIC = 1 mg/mL), N. formidarum (4 mg/mL), and Colletoreichum quaranicola (4 mg/mL).
