Create a topicThis study aims to analyze opinion leaders’ role in news circulation on Twitter. We analyze datasets from two political conversations. Our research questions are as follows: RQ1: Who are the most influential actors in these conversations? RQ2: What is the content of the opinion leaders’ messages about the news? The methods used in this research are Social Network Analysis and Content Analysis. The main results are: the anti-Bolsonaro group relied on media outlets to share the stories and opinion leaders to interpret and contextualize them; the pro-Bolsonaro group relied on opinion leaders to reframe the information by attacking mainstream outlets and minimizing the issues on the news.
