To innovate, design teams should develop several conceptions to reach satisfactory and cost-effective products. Creativity techniques are powerful allies in building alternative mind-pathways, through which the team may develop suitable ideas. Each technique has appropriate use situations, and the assertion of adequate techniques requires experience from a facilitator. As a rare asset, human expertise can be represented via the Artificial Intelligence approach known as Knowledge-Based System. This paper presents a computational prototype that emulates expert knowledge by identifying the design team’s scenario through questions, correlating adequate creativity techniques. The system usability should be adequate, aiming for an intuitive and fail-proof software interface. Therefore, we investigate interface and usability aspects through questionnaires with students and design specialists, aiming to develop a clearer and more intuitive system to aid product development
