Argonaute-2 (AGO2) is present during retinal development, and its knockdown impacts retinal maturation

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that control protein levels in a post-transcriptional manner. The action of miRNAs depends on mechanisms mediated by RISC complex, but the knowledge about the expression of its components and activity is limited. In this regard, it is particularly interesting the role of Argonaute 2 (AGO2), which is directly involved in postnatal development.
