Sustainable internationalisation
This presentation will focus on the themes of quality, inclusion and sustainability. We will leverage the knowledge and experience of the education sector by asking participants to deliver some of the content for these themes.
The interest in internationalization has been growing for years in Brazil, with the increase in the level of learning new languages, the expansion of online courses and the accessibility of getting around to different countries around the world generated by airplanes. This is a positive trend, especially since it goes hand in hand with a growing realization that internationalization should also enhance the quality of education, showing good examples and practices in the planet and how we could apply this knowledge to our society.
We intend to add impetus to this process by asking things like: How can we take advantage of these quality students who return to their home countries or decide to stay abroad on an ongoing basis, either with or without the help of digitization? What the purpose of these activities? How do we use them to respond to the changing demand from the labor market?
We will be framing these topics in both a national and international context and will address the entire sector, from bachelor to PHd. Showing what initiatives already exist in other countries, and how might we join in, how can we take advantage of developments regarding the internet and digitisation and how to benefit from your past experiences and expertise.
