Parana speaks English: a program to support internationalization in Parana State.

This presentation aims at explaining the general context of Paraná
speaks English (PSE) in terms of the State Proposal to support
internationalization. From a general perspective, we will discuss the
impact of the program on the seven State Universities in Paraná
State, as well as the changes that took place during the first and
second phases of the program. Then, we will present the several
subprograms linked to PSE and the international partnership actions
developed so far together with Languages Canada and Smart
English. We will also discuss the effectiveness of the mobility
program launched in 2018 and its impact on students both for the
State Universities and themselves. Finally, we will present the
effectiveness of the program in one of the seven State Universities.
We expect this presentation to contribute to a better understanding
of the language policy developed in Paraná.
