English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) is a widespread yet still under-studied trend in higher education. Seen as an important "internationalization at home" strategy, very little has been researched in terms of how EMI may impact course content itself (i.e. the curriculum). This talk will present evidence from an ongoing study that aims to examine to what extent delivering one's class through English also changes the scope and content of the original curriculum. The main question that drives the research is the following: Do EMI professors tend to incorporate a more international perspective in their courses than they do in Portuguese?
