Abstract

Between 2016 and 2019, the partners: Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia (SP), UFMG (MG), École des Mines de Saint Etienne (FRA) and Thales Group (Industry partner) developed a Brafitec Project in the field of Embedded Electronic System. This project had positive impact on the internationalization of all involved institutions. In the specific case of Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia we can list the following outcomes:

• Dual Degree: Brazil-France;
• Academic Missions: Including a workshop developed in Brazil and presented in France;
• Cooperation for continuing education between the institutions;
• Industry engagement to host international students as interns on areas related to the project;
• Reciprocity of internship opportunities for Brazilian students in France;
• Development of new applied research themes (potential future Brafitec Proposals?)

By sharing the outcomes, it is possible to highlight the Industry Engagement as key for the success of all other activities. The connection with the industry has represented the link between all the applied research develop on Campus and had great impact to attract the international students to Brazil.
