First Results of the American Academy Program - PUCPR and Kent State University

After launching the American Academy Program at FAUBAI 2018 in Rio de Janeiro, PUCPR has already started classes in the second semester of 2018, using the Liberal Arts Model with Professors from Kent State University and achieved some results. The purpose of this proposal is to give an overview of the first results of Program:
- Number of students enrolled in the First Semester
- Number of courses and American Professors
- Number of inquiries for the Second Semester
- Involvement of different teams (finance, marketing, academics and so on)
- Empowerment of PUCPR in Brazil and in the USA
- Approximation with the American Consulate and the EducationUSA
- Participation on student´s fair
- Infrastructure
After the first semester was noticed the necessity of implementation of more actions and projects involving the American Academy Program, such as:
- Summer Immersion (only enrolled students) at Kent State University
- Advising specialists (American Model)
- Extra-curricular activities
- Buddy Program for Professors
- Recruitment abroad – made by Kent State University
This session will allow participants to have a better understanding of the program, it´s challenges and achievements.
